Underwater Mechinx
Underwater Mechanix (UMX) is a Jacksonville-based commercial diving and marine construction company serving government and private clients across Florida.
A Niche Trade With a New Strategy.
At UMX, I wore a lot of hats. I ran the social media, photography, videography, and paid ads, built a recruitment pipeline that kept HR stocked with qualified leads, and wrote the proposals that helped us land government contracts across the country.
The Trade No One Noticed
The Content No One Could Ignore
Managing Underwater Mechanix’s social media was one of the more challenging accounts I worked on, given how niche underwater welding is as a trade. The goal was to capture audience interest in a highly specialized field that most people had never seen or even thought about.

Elevating Hard Hats
To Hometown Heros
I took a boots-on-the-ground approach to photography, drone footage, and videography, staying active on projects as they happened. Featuring team members’ personal stories added a personable layer to the content and helped drive engagement. Together, this highlighted the unique attention to bravery, precision, and skill behind the UMX underwater welding, setting the brand apart as an industry leader.
Numbers Talk
But I Make Them Sing
I also authored the proposals that helped secure multiple federal contracts for the company. Taking the raw data and information the team provided, I crafted the narratives and designed the visuals used in client presentations, always aiming for a cohesive, minimal, and engaging look that made complex information easy to follow.
